The 3 Bets for Craps Beginners
The Pass Line bet
The first bet you make before the Come Out roll. During the Come Out roll, if a 7 or 11 is rolled the bet is payed back to each player. For example if I place $5 on the pass line bet and the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 the $5 is returned to me. If a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled then you lose your pass line bet. As mentioned before, any other number besides those mentioned, establishes a point. Once a point is established the Pass Line bet becomes a bet on that point. The Odds bet

If the shooter hits the point you get paid, however if the shooter rolls a 7 you lose your Pass Line bet on top of your Odds bet. The Come bet
The Come bet is similar to a Pass Line bet, except that it is made after the point has been established. For example you place $5 on the Pass Line, the shooter then rolls an 8. Your Point bet is now an 8, which you can choose to place an Odds bet or not. You may also then place a Come bet. If the shooter rolls a 9, the dealer will add your bet to that number, which you can then place another Odds bet. You would now have two numbers with bets on them, meaning that if the shooter rolls an 8 or a 9 you win money. However if the shooter rolls a 7, you lose both bets together with any Odds you placed on them. The Come bet is essential to your strategy if you want to rack up a long winning spree.
