SkyCity Auckland is making the upcoming school holidays even more fun with a host of special events and activities designed to keep the whole family engaged and entertained.
Wētā’s “Collectibles Unleashed” experience goes live in the Wētā Cave from Saturday 22 July until the 24th. You’ll see collectible reveals and artist demos or experience the interactive FX workshops. If you and your kids are more sporty types, the All Blacks Experience will have everything you could want and more. Experience the rugby legends like never before as you test your skills in the Step-Up Zone, where one child gets in free for every adult ticket sold on both Mondays of the holidays. Family passes are also great value with an impressive 20% off.
The kids can also get some essential skills training directly from former All Black, Nathan Harris and go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the All Blacks Experience.
Thrills Aplenty
Hit the unique augmented reality experience of SkySlide, which will be open throughout the school holidays and will only cost you $15. The SkyWalk will be popular because it’s free for all children, accompanied by a paying adult. If you haven’t been to the SkyWalk, you’re in for a spectacular treat as the walk around the outside ring of the tallest building in New Zealand lets you take in a unique, 360-degree view from 192m above Auckland City.
Going up comes some extra perks, there are five prize packs up for grabs if you ascend the Sky Tower between the 9th and 24th of July. A great range of entertainment is also available, including arcade gaming, activity stations, and the aviation Station. Family passes are again discounted at 20%, and booking is essential.
